We’ve been painting!

The Easter holidays were very productive at the Scout Centre!!

Over a weekend we had a steady flow of adults who’s signed up to help out, they painted both the hall and then the corridor. We chose to paint the lower half dark green which will help hide those inevitable scuffs plus it is our group colour! We were fortunate as we got most of the paint for free after Andrew applied for support from The Brewers Foundation.

We were also awarded a grant from Hampton Masonic Lodge which we have used to buy new radiators. The old ones were very tatty and broken plus the design meant a large part of the heat from them went into the boxed units they sat on. It may surprise you to know new radiators was top of the list from many of our young people when they were asked what they wanted to improve in their section.

We have new notice boards ready to go up which means when we put things on them with pins the  pins will actually stay in! The old boards were so old the pins were always popping out!
