We are always looking for additional support within our large group! We currently have the following vacancies – please contact Sarah Ashbourn-Stacey our Group Lead Volunteer if you are interested via the Join button and she’ll be in touch.

  • Brownsea Squirrels – Team Leader & Team Members
  • Birch Beavers – Team Members
  • Bearbrook Cubs – Team Members
  • Disraeli Scouts  – Team Members
  • Rothschild Scouts –  Team Members

We are additionally looking for a couple of extra people to join our Trustee Board. This is a team of volunteers who work together to make sure the group is run safely and legally. Together, Trustees make sure the charity is well managed, risks are assessed and mitigated, buildings and equipment are in good working order, and everyone follows legal requirements and Policy, Organisation and Rules (POR). Their support helps other volunteers run a fantastic programme that gives young people skills for life (and experiences they’ll remember forever).

Volunteering with Scouts

Volunteering can be a brilliant way to boost your mental wellbeing. It’s a great feeling knowing you’re helping young people get skills for life, and you might even learn a lot about yourself along the way.

Scouts can make you feel good in other ways too. We’ll guide you to an opportunity where you’ll:

  • Make friends and meet people
  • Try new things and challenge yourself
  • Get outdoors and get stuck in
  • Positively impact your community
  • Create vital opportunities for young people
  • Make memories that’ll last a lifetime

If you can only occasionally help, that’s OK. Whether you’d like to be an activity planner, tea-maker or craft creator, we appreciate any time you can spare.
